Terms of Service
Last updated August 2, 2026
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of ecampusdesign.net and the eCampus Design application (the “Service”), operated by eCampus Design(“we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these terms.
The Service is designed for college and university students. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
2Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your login credentials confidential, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us at support@ecampusdesign.net if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
Accounts are for individual use. Do not share your account with others or resell access to the Service.
3What the Service does
eCampus Design accepts syllabi and related course materials that you upload, extracts assignments, exams, readings, and due dates from them using automated systems, and organizes the results into a semester plan. Features may change, expand, or be discontinued over time.
4Your content
You keep ownership of everything you upload. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to store, reproduce, transmit, and process your content solely to operate and improve the Service for you, including transmitting it to the third-party processors described in our Privacy Policy. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, subject to routine backup retention.
Syllabi are often authored by your instructor or institution and may be protected by copyright or by institutional policy. You represent that you have the right to upload each document you submit and that doing so does not violate any policy, agreement, or law that applies to you. You are responsible for that determination, not us.
We do not sell your content, and we do not use it to train our own models.
5Automated output and accuracy
The Service uses large language models to read your documents. This extraction is probabilistic, not deterministic. Dates, weights, titles, and requirements may be misread, omitted, duplicated, or invented, particularly in scanned, handwritten, or unusually formatted syllabi.
Your official syllabus and your instructor are the authoritative source. Verify every deadline before you rely on it. We are not responsible for missed assignments, missed exams, late penalties, or academic consequences of any kind arising from your use of the Service.
Nothing produced by the Service is academic, legal, financial, or professional advice.
6Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- upload content you do not have the right to upload, or content that infringes the rights of others;
- use the Service to complete graded work in a way that violates your institution’s academic integrity policy;
- attempt to access another user’s account or data, or to probe, scan, or breach the security of the Service;
- scrape, crawl, reverse engineer, or use automated means to access the Service outside of documented interfaces;
- resell, sublicense, or provide access to the Service to third parties;
- upload malware, or submit content that is unlawful, harassing, or that attempts to manipulate the underlying models into producing harmful output;
- impose an unreasonable load on our infrastructure or our third-party providers.
7Subscriptions and billing
Some features require a paid subscription. Prices are shown at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not receive or store your full card number.
Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price until you cancel. You authorize us to charge your saved payment method for each renewal. We will give you notice before any price increase takes effect for your plan.
You may cancel at any time from your account settings or the billing portal. Cancellation stops future renewals; your access continues until the end of the period you already paid for.
Except where a refund is required by law, payments are non-refundable, including for partial periods and unused time. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at support@ecampusdesign.net within 30 days and we will review it in good faith.
You are responsible for any applicable taxes that are not collected by us.
8Free plans and trials
We may offer free or trial access with usage limits. We may change or withdraw free access at any time. If a trial converts to a paid plan, we will make the conversion terms clear before it happens.
9Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, interface, design, and brand, is owned by eCampus Design and protected by intellectual property law. These terms grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial academic purposes. No other rights are granted.
If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without obligation or compensation to you.
10Third-party services
The Service depends on third-party providers for hosting, storage, AI processing, payments, and email. Their availability and performance are outside our control, and their own terms may apply to their handling of data. See our Privacy Policy for the current list.
11Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, if your use creates risk or legal exposure, or if we discontinue the Service. Where practical, we will give notice and an opportunity to export your data.
Sections covering your content license, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law survive termination.
12Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that extracted information will be accurate or complete.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
13Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, eCampus Design will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost opportunities, or academic consequences, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or 50 US dollars.
14Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless eCampus Design and its officers, employees, and contractors from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these terms or of any law or third-party right.
15Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. You and we agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in North Carolina for any dispute that is not resolved informally.
Before filing a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue directly.
16Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Service evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email or in the app. Continued use after the changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
17Contact
